You can type about:config into firefox, and it brings up its internal configurations now.

For regular google search from the address bar, do this:

  keyword.URL = http://www.google.com/search?btnG=Google+Search&q=

For "Feeling Lucky" searches, do this:

  keyword.URL = http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=

Others:

 layout.frames.force_resizability = true.
